Houseboat cruise in Konaseema on Godavari Goutami

Yanam ferry point is located at Rajiv Gandhi Arch road near Shiva Linga. This house boat will take you for a one full day trip to back water of Konaseema, meeting point to see of river Godavari – and to some nearby islands by covering a total distance of 90 KM. This one day trip which starts at 9.30 reporting time and ends at 5 PM is highly recommended trip.

Journey starts after south Indian breakfast inside houseboat. River Godavari – go width is very big here so both banks are far from each other. Boat moves towards south –east direction towards sea leaving Yanam bridge behind. On the banks there are many fisherman villages and coconut trees. After half hour of travel on your left will be Reliance Jetty and some villages. After one hour the boat will take a right turn and will enter inside a backwater canal. As the boat moves through this narrow canal of width varies from 50 meter to 100 meter, there will be several trees branches on the water. Small huts and fishing nets will be visible by the side.

Lunch point

Around 12.30 the boat will reach an open space where two such chanels meet and is was anchored and tightened to nearby trees. You can get down the boat for walk in the Jungle. South Indian lunch will be provided on the houseboat.

After lunch the house boat will start towards Godavari and sea meeting point. It comes out of the narrow channel moves towards open sea. The difference in water color of Godavari and bay of Bengal can be seen. During low tides new islands were visible here. There are red crabs available plenty in number in these islands.

This house boat is available throughout the year for any type of bookings for party, conferences and meetings. This boat can be booked for hourly rate of Rs 4000/- upto 50 persons. This A/c boat has one bed room and kitchen facility. A/c double bed room can exclusively booked by paying Rs 2000/-. The open upper deck can be used for organizing meetings and functions. Soft drinks and snacks are available on payment.

Yanam is 30 minutes drive from Kakinada( 25 KM )and Amalapuram( Other side ).
From Rajahmundry ( 65 KM ) it is 1 hr and 20 minutes drive by road.
