Kondapalli Fort near Vijayawada

At a distance of 30 KM from Vijayawada town Kondapalli fort was Constructed by Musunuri Nayaks. Kondapalli Fort or Killa is locally known as Kondapalli Kota. This is an ancient fort located in Krishna district . From National Highway connecting Hyderabad to Vijayawada this fort is near Ibrahimpatnam. From NH ( while coming from Hyderabad side ) before Ibrahimpatnam Jn take left turn and drive 6 KM in a ghat route. The fort will be at your left side and the jungle road will take you to the top of the hill where Doordarshan kendra is situated. You can get good view from the top. This historic fort is under renovation by Archeological Department of Andhra Pradesh.

The main entrance is known as Dargah Darwaja, there is a Dargah of Hazrath Syed Galib Shaheed just before the main entrance of the fort.
