Mukteshwar TempleMukteshwar Shiva temple is a famous pilgrim place of Uttarakhand. Just 55 KM from Naintal many tourist visit Mukteshwar as day visit and return after having darshan of Lord Mukteshwar. Temple is located at top of a hill inside Jungle. Here climate remain cool even in summer seasons. The view of Himalayan peaks are available when weather is clear. If you are a nature lover then you can plan for a day stay here. Market is before the temple.

Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) is located near the temple.

Chauli Ki Jali

Located at a distance of 250 meters from the entrance of the Mukteshwar temple here you can do adventure sports activities like rock climbing, free jump, archery etc here. Near this rocky place there is a hole in a big rock. Chauli Ki Kali at MukteshwarDuring Siva Ratri devotees gather here for darshan and there is a belief that those ( (child less )married women pass through the whole will be blessed with kids. Chauli Ki Jali is located just backside of the Mukteshwar Siva temple. After having darshan of Lord Mukteshwar without descending to parking area you can take a right turn and travel to backside of the same hill to reach this place. The road further will take you to resorts located back side of the temple.

Naintal is 53 KM from Mukteshwar via Ramgad .

There are few but good resorts are available at Mukteshwar. KMVN resort is at backside of the temple hill. In front of KMVN tourist rest center there is a PWD rest house. The famous Jim Corbet use to stay here during his visit to Mukteshwar. Good view of sunset is available near this PWD guest house. There are no good restaurants or market available nearby so you have to depend on your hotel for food as long as you are here.
