Naldehra golf ground and tourist information

Naldehra is famous for 9 hole golf course. This was laid out by Viceroy Lord Curzon who was enchanted by this place. He gave his daughter Alexanra her second name as Naldehra. This perfect Golf course is located at a distance of 25 KM from Shimla.

Visiting around the golf ground.

Entry ticket to the track around the golf course is Rs 10/- . This is a well marked track with wired fencing both sides up to the movie point. At any point of time tourist are not allowed to enter into the golf ground. You will be moving around the field only. Wire fencing and Caution boards are placed at different areas and near Mahanag temple for the tourists. By horse it will take one hour 15 minutes to cover the full track around the field. It is not a must to use horse however the person also acts like a guide and explains you various viewpoints different hill ranges and peaks. There are one short trip and one long trip is available for the hoarse ride.

Short trip horse ride around golf ground at Naldehra : Rs 250 /-

Areas covered are Mahunag temple, Satlej reiver view, Tatapani view, Picinic spots , Movie point, Shali Tibba, snow peaks around.

Long trip by horse: Rs 380/-

In addition to above points this trip will add BhimaKali temple Lovers point, China border , Hmalyan rages, village view, valley view.

Tip: After going for a short trip you can decide to go for long trip also.

However there is not much difference between short and long trips, the extra trip of 20 minutes will take you another 100 meter track showing you the highest point where a small temple ( Bhima Kali temple) and a flat area where foreign tourist use to camp and down below you can view village at a distance. The highest point of Shimla is also visible from here.

With tall deodar trees, forest cactus around this place is famous location for the movie shootings. Many old and new movie shootings took place here, recently some TV serials also recorded here. Your horse man will give a long list of old and new movies which are recorded here.
Nadehra golf course

During Dec, Jan and February months this golf ground remain closed because of dry grass.
