Chennai Snake Park

( Closed on Tuesday ) Channai snake park This park is located near the famous Gundi area houses many snakes, mostly habitants of Indian sub continent. Cameras are allowed inside for a fee, inside this park there are many varieties of snakes & crocodiles. For ten minutes duration at a frequency of one hour a open show is organized demonstrating live snakes by an expert. You can spend one hour inside this park to watch the snake show.

Before the Snake park this Park houses many varieties of birds, deer, and some of the type of small animals

Take a one day break to visit Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram

Morning 6.30 the bus starts from Chennai tourism complex and goes to Kanchipuram the famous temple town. On the way to Kanchipuram the bus passes through Sripurembudur on the Chennai – Bangalore National Highway. This place is the birth place of Ramanuja and this is the place where Sri Rajiv Gandhi the former Prime minister of India was assassinated . The memorial built at the place of assassination located at the left side of the highway while moving away from Chennai.

One end of this street is Mambalam local train station. You can take a local train traveling towards Tambaram from Egmore or any other station. On return you can take train towards Beach area to reach Egmore station.
