Coonoor Nilgiri Hill station near Ooty

On the way to Ooty from Mettupalayam this small beautiful Coonoor town comes. If you are traveling by toy train from Mettupalayam to Ooty then this is where steam engine is replaced with diesel engine for the last part of the journey. Coonoor is located 19 Kms away from Udhagamandalam ( Ooty ) is on the way to Coimbatore. It is at a height of 1858 meters from MSL. This small town has many parks and beautiful tea garden to spend some time around.
