Konark Dance Festival
Five days dance festival is organized at Open Air Auditorium with backdrop of Konark Sun temple. This five days event from 1st of December to 5th of December is organized every year by Orissa Tourism Development Corporation ( OTDC ).

Good arrangements done for the tourist to watch the programs from the viewing gallery.
To visit the festival special arrangements done by Orissa Tourism Development Corporation ( OTDC ) to take the visitors to Konark and return them to Bhubaneswar. The Tour package starts at 2.30 PM from transport section located inside the Panthanivas hotel campus Opposite to BJB College , Kalpana Square. AC Volvo or other vehicles arranged for tourist based on the number of bookings. It straight goes to Chandrabhaga sea beach to show International Sand Art Festival, after this snacks are offered at wooden restaurant near the sea beach. At around 5.30 PM tourist visit Konark Sun temple and then at 6.00 PM they were taken to Konark Dance Festival. After the dance show tourist taken for dinner and then they return to Bhubaneswar.
Note that journey time by road from Bhubaneswar to Konark is nearly one and half hour.
This tour starts from Bhubaneswar at 2.30 PM and returns to Bhubaneswar at 11.30 PM. The package includes visit to International Sand Art festival at Chandrabhaga, Konark Sun temple, Konark Dance festival. One time tea and snacks and dinner is included in this package.
Similar Package is arranged by Orissa Toursim ( OTDC ) from Puri for the tourist at same time. This package starts from Puri and returns to Puri at night 11 covering both the festivals at Konark.
During this period ( 1st Dec to 5th Dec ) several other local programs and full night shows are arranged at Konark. Many local people visit this place and enjoy the programs. Temporary market , giant wheel and several other joyrides are available for the visitors here. One handicraft mela ( Exhibition ) is organized during this period at Konark. If you are planning to use your own vehicle then keep some extra time to cross heavy traffic between Konark temple to Chandrabhaga Beach area ( nearly 2 KM ). You can start early in the day and visit all these places before the evening dance programs at 6.30 PM.
