Chandrabhaga Sea Beach & Sand Art Festival
This is a quite and clean beach less crowded than Puri sea beach. This beach is located on the way to Puri from Konark Sun Temple. The road from here to Puri passes by the side of Sea on left and tall trees on the right side. You can take a break at Ramachandi temple before reaching Puri town.
This beach is located at a distance of 3 KM from Konark Sun temple.
There is a parking space near the beach and good arrangements done to handle large crowd gather here on special occasions.
This sea beach is named after Chandrabhaga river which joins sea here. Every year on 7th full moon day of Magha month ( local calendar ) special Puja organized here and many visit this beach on this day to take bath ( holy dip ) in sea water.

Konark International Sand Art Festival
From 1st of December to 5th of December International Sand art festival is organized at Chandrabhaga sea beach. Many local and foreign artists participate in this five days function. Around 40 to 45 artists show their talent by constructing different sand arts / sculpture using beach sand. Each participant given one marked area with all facility like barricading, water pumps , light etc provided by Orissa Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC )

Every day the artist change their sculpture based on the theme of the day. As artists start working on the theme of the day since morning, it is better to visit the stalls in the afternoon or evening hours to see the completed sand sculptures.
Prizes are given to best artists after selection by a panel of Judges.
This function coincides with the Konark Dance festival organized during the same time near Konark Sun temple
