Aurangabad Tourist Guide

This historical place is well connected by road, rail and air. This place is populare a entery point for famous Ajanta & Ellora Caves. Many tourist prefer to stay here to visit famous Ajanta & Ellora caves. Aurangabad is two journey from famous Shiridi Sai temple. Local sightseeing

Panchakki ( water mill )

You can start your sightseeing program by visiting this place. This is a memorial of Baba Shah Musafir a sufi saint. Water from a distance river flows through a conduit and falls on a wheel. The rotatation of the wheel is used to run mill to crush grain. There is a water pond near the mill.

Bibi Ka Maqbara ( 2 KM from Panchakki )

This majestic mausoleum on the style of Taj Mahal ( Agra ) was built by Azam Shah, the son of Aurangzeb in memory of his mother Dilras Banu Begum. This structure is also known as Taj of Deccan. Inside a total area of 458 x 275 meter the mausoleum was build at the center of a high platform with four minarets at its corners.

Visiting hours starts from sunrise to 10 PM. There is a entry fee of Rs 5 and free entry for below 15 years of age. Foreigners entry fee is Rs 100/- . For video filming there is a fee of Rs 25/- .

Grishneshwar Temple

Devotees have to remove shirts or cloth from upper part of the body before entering to main darshan hall.

It is connected by road to Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and other cities of India. NH 52 passes through Auragabad. Nagpur–Aurangabad–Mumbai express highway passes through this city.
