Murudeshwar
Murudeshwar is located at west coast of India. To visit West coast districts of Karnataka, one can proceed from Bangalore to Mangalore (National Highway 48) and proceed towards North direction. Murudeshwar is in the district of North Karnataka. People visiting Kollur can visit this place as it is nearer. Murudeswara is 55 Kms away from Kollur out of which 20 Kms is highway road. Famous Eswara temple with huge Lord Shiva statue is situated at this place. This temple is located at the beach. People can visit nearer islands through private ferries. Lodges are available at Rs500/- onwards for family accommodation (5 members).

Visitors to this place can proceed to Agumbe from Murudeswara via Hatti Angadi (Hattiangadi) which is 35 Kms (from Murudeshwar). They have to take left turn to reach this place. Hatti Angadi (Hattiangadi) is famous for Lord Ganapathi. Free food is served at the temple premises. From Hatti Angadi (Hattiangadi), Agumbe is 95 Kms. Ghats section with steep curves.
Travellers visiting Murdeshwara from Kollur can follow the route of Bhatkal via Halkal and Byndoor. They can even proceed towards Gokarna from Bhatkal via Honnavar and Kumta. The distance from Kollur to Gokarna is nearly 145Kms.

From Murudeswara one can travel through west coast line towards Udupi and Mangalore. The distance between Murudeswara and Udupi is 110 Kms. Places to visit surrounding Udupi are, Malpe beach, Panambur, St.Mary’s Island. Lord Krishna temple available at Udupi and lodges are available for Rs.30/- at temple premises. Private lodges are available from Rs.150/- to 300/-.

People can then proceed to Mangalore which is 55 Kms from Udupi. Khadri temple is famous in Mangalore. Private lodges are available ranging from Rs.400/- to 3000/-.
