Khajjiar trekking
Started from Kalatop guesthouse at 9.00 AM and moved towards Khajjiar through the jungle. On the way we meet a group of school kids, I asked them the reason for not going to school. One of them replied with a smile that today is Sunday. We totally forgot the days of the week. I was surprised that how on earth I can forget a Sunday! That is the difference between a busy city life and spending time inside a jungle.
We meet a group of villagers who had installed small kitchen for us to serve tea, coffee etc. As that was a popular trekking rout so the villagers were making little extra money by offering food and tea. Similar arrangements we saw at our lunch point after one hour.
Took lunch near a waterfall and the area was little chilled as no sunlight was available.
After the lunch it was the continuous climbing which has exhausted us a bit. Local kids have offered help to carry our bags upto Khajjiar. Finally after walking through a deep jungle we reached the main road leading the Khajjiar. Our camp was one KM away and we first saw the beautiful green ground of Khajjiar ( see the picture gallery ) .
Next day trek is from Khajjiar to Chamba
